And the Era Begun!

I think it was Friday 22/10/2010 when I took the bike from the shop. In the morning, I took the commuter to Bangi and asked my dear friend Bazli, to fetch me and send me to bike shop at Bandar Baru Bangi.

After we had breakfast, my era with the ZSR started. But it was a very short one before it actually overheated and the engine died on me.

I turned back to the shop and ask them to rectify the problem. They found out that the petrol valve clocked with rusted flakes. They turn the fuel tanks upside down, washed it, blew it with compressed air and they said the bike was okey.

That afternoon, I rode it back toward my home town. But only for about 10km. It overheated at Bukit Mahkota. I called the bike shop again. They came with a kapcai and we exchanged bikes. I rode the kapcai to Seremban and he rode the ZSR back to Bandar Baru Bangi.

The next week, Monday, the same drill again. The engine was noisy and everything were very stiff but at least it did not overheated.

Only after a few hundred kilometers and a few more days of uncomfortable riding, the engine become smooth and responsive. Very nice.... and I am very happy.

I am looking forward to spent a few thousand kilometers on that bike from now on. But I have to replce the silencer first. It is way to noisy for and old man like I am!

Muahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa...........

My dream bike?

I was just looking around at a bike shop one day. I think it was the 13th October 2010. I was looking for an Elite Sport scooter which was there last time a pay a visit to the shop.

Suddenly, there it was. Old, rusty and in the open. When I check it out, it was for sale. So I started some checking and inspecting. Mileage was very high but surprisingly, the overall engine condition was quite good.

I got a little restless. This was one bike that had a special character. An excellently tuned 150cc 2 stroker (Super KIPS 150) and a slim body of the ever green KIPS model.

I didn't have much cash, so I just pay a minimal deposit! The shop owner promise to start "making-up" the bike.

ps/
It's not really my dream bike, but it so so special and unique.
